A shoe factory sends two marketing scouts to Africa to assess the prospects for expanding it business of low-cost footwear. Two emails are sent back to the Marketing VP.
1. “This is a hopelessly empty market. No one wears shoes here.”
2. “Un-BE-liev-able opportunity!..No one is wearing shoes here.”
Is your view one of opportunity or hopelessness? Is your glass half full or half empty?
I would imagine that whatever your view is, it is a close approximation to the results you are getting. Henry Ford once said, “Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you are probably right.” What would you rather be right about? You can make it happen; Believe It!
